Tidal which operates similar services with YouTube has come under attack by critics who claims the company has been a bit of a flop and has less number of subscribers as expected.
Jay-Z bought Tidal from a Swedish company for $56m and took to twitter to disabuse the minds of critics. He says"Tidal is doing just fine. We have over 770,000 subs. We have been in business less than one month. We are here for the long haul." At the launch event, musicians including Beyonce, Madonna and Kanye West were announced as backers of the service. More so, he says "The iTunes Store wasn't built in a day and it took Spotify 9 years to be successful. Please give us a chance to grow"
