Rhodes statue removed in Cape Town as crowd celebrates




Black Convention: In one edition of 'Ebony' magazine that captured a convention about blacks and racism in the US and around the world, a lady with a child on her laps and tears from her eyes said, " we have forgiven the white but we will never forget".
In that spirit of 'unforgetfulness' a monument to British colonialist Cecil Rhodes at the University of Cape Town (South Africa) has been taken down after students protested saying it was a symbol of historical white oppression.
