Maiduguri (Nigeria) recorded its first rainfall for the year on Sunday, making residents to express joy after weeks of intense heat, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.
The rain, which started at about 5.30pm and lasted for about 30
minutes, brought relief to the city, which had experienced temperature
of more than 47 degree Celsius.
