Nestle India's Noodles withdrawn from stores

Nestle has withdrawn Maggi brand noodles from stores following allegations by India food safety regulator that it found higher levels of lead in some packets. The regulatory body has accused Nestle of failing to comply with food safety laws. Several states have been testing the noodles for the chemical monosodium glutamate.
Nestle chief executive has requested to see the laboratory test results. He has also promised consumers that the noodles will return to stores.
