Four British and two Australian tourists are believed to be
among seven people killed in a helicopter crash in New Zealand, police have
said.
The aircraft came down and landed in a crevasse on the Fox
Glacier, on the country's South Island, on Saturday morning local time.
Rescue teams in helicopters reached the crash site but found
no sign of survivors, rescue co-ordinators said.
The glacier on the remote west coast of South Island is
popular with tourists.
The helicopter that crashed is believed to be a Eurocopter
"Squirrel" operated by local firm Alpine Adventures.
A recovery operation is expected to begin on Sunday local
time, New Zealand Police said. (bbcasia)
