FIFA president Sepp Blatter resigns

Some say it is an honourable thing to do as the President of the corruption laden FIFA body resigns. Sepp Blatter has only spent a few days in this newly elected position. In the past week FIFA has been hit by charges of corruption, which means being dishonest in a position of power.

On Wednesday 27 May, seven FIFA officials were arrested at a hotel in Switzerland and charged with taking bribes of millions of dollars.
He said he will remain in charge of the body pending when new elections will be done later in the year.
